MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS

18th April 2023 – Brunei Youth Council, in collaboration with Health Promotion Centre, yesterday held its second ‘Mental Health Awareness from A Religious Perspective’ programme at Cosmopolitan College of Commerce & Technology. The programme was attended by some 180 students and lecturers from the institution where they were given a talk by MUIB - Certified Da’ie Ustaz Mohammed Khairul Mu’az bin Haji Sibodaud followed by an activity facilitated by Brunei Youth Council. The programme aims to educate the young to detect early signs of mental health problems while encouraging them to seek help if needed. It also scrutinises mental health and religion while approaching a holistic approach to mental health issues.
